Every year the Aerospace Physiology Society recognizes a teacher in the host city of the Aerospace Medical Associations Conference who is dedicated to inspire, encourage and teach the leaders of tomorrow. This year on May 3, 2017 Mr. Santambrogio was presented with “The Partnership in Education Award” for his amazing contributions to the classroom at Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences.
“The Partnership in Education Award” winner is recognized as an individual who has brought a unique approach to teaching science in the classroom and has inspired his or her students to an interest in science. Creative teaching methods, integration of non-traditional resources, high levels of competence, individual research, demonstrable and consistent outstanding results are the hallmark of the award winners. This year marked the 88th year for the Aerospace Medical Associations meeting which was held at the Sheraton in Downtown Denver.
Earlier this year Major Wes Davis and Lieutenant Colonel Faaborg visited Mr. Santambrogios class to talk with them about the impact of high altitude flying on the physiology of Jet Pilots.
