I have found myself taking my dog on many more walks these days during this odd time of quarantining. On these daily walks, I have seen positive messages drawn on sidewalks, painted rocks with positive messaging on them left at parks, and handmade signs of positivity hung in homes’ front windows.
I was inspired by this to assign a Positivity “Poster” to my students for Week 1 of remote learning in Visual Arts at Hill. Students were given the flexibility to use whatever materials they had in their homes and design this “poster” in a variety of ways. My students’ goal was to spread a positive message to others and whether that meant only to their immediate family or to passers-by near their home, they really put it out there and did an amazing job. Here are some awesome examples of their finished works.
