STEMScience, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences has partner with Project Lead the Way to offer STEM classes in all grade levels. Middle school is the perfect time for students to explore and learn that there is more than one way to reach a solution. PLTW Gateway provides engineering and biomedical science curriculum for middle school students that challenges, inspires, and offers schools variety and flexibility. Students get rigorous and relevant experiences through activity-, project-, and problem-based learning. They use industry-leading technology to solve problems while gaining skills in communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, and creativity.

DPS is committed to helping all of our families find the school that’s the right fit for their child. For most families, that should be and will be their neighborhood school, and we encourage every family to start with their neighborhood school. Hill is eager to serve the needs of its neighborhood students and meet your desire for an outstanding education for your child, right in your own neighborhood. Students from our boundary that are enrolled at Hill via the Round 1 choice process will be guaranteed a spot in our STEM program. We have the first and only middle school STEM program in DPS that is state approved. The choice process opens for round one on February 1 and closes on February 28 at 4:00 pm.
