Come Soar as a Skyhawk: Shadow HCAS

Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences will be hosting prospective students to shadow during the month of February.

Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences is a traditional 6-8 school located near 6th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in the Hilltop neighborhood serving students from every part of the socio-economic spectrum. We strive to create a joyful, academically robust learning experience rooted in relationships each and every day.

In 2017, Hill was awarded the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award by the state of Colorado based on our school performance the prior year. This award is given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences has exceeded expectations related to student academic progress and met/exceeded expectations related to academic growth gaps. We are the only traditional middle school to earn the award! Hill was also awarded the Top Mover Award by Denver Public Schools to celebrate the fantastic leap we made on the SPF in 2017 – jumping TWO colors in a single bound! In 2018, Hill earn Green status on the School Performance Framework.
Choosing the middle school that is compatible with your child is an important decision. We want to honor the importance of this decision and the importance of maintaining the instructional integrity of the 5th grade classrooms. As a result, we will host a one-day Hill Experience event for prospective students on February 1, 2019 from 7:40-2:45. We will host 250 prospective students from across the city for this unique opportunity to experience middle school.  We will have current student ambassadors on hand that day to guide the students through a day in the life of a Skyhawk.
