Hill Travel Group Summer 2027 Trip Announcement

Oh my goodness—it’s hard to believe we’re already here and planning our Summer 2027 trip for the Hill Travel Group! Drumroll, please… we’re headed to Ireland and Scotland for an absolutely amazing and stunning tour. This is going to be such a unique and fun experience for our students, and, as chaperones, we can hardly contain our excitement for students to experience this!

If you’re interested in learning more, please RSVP for our family information meeting on March 12th. We will be meeting 5:15-6:15 pm in the Hill Cafe. Here is the RSVP link for your meeting on March 12th: https://bit.ly/40JxyXV

Enrolling before April 1st comes with some discounts. After April 1st, the price may fluctuate and discounts will decrease.

If you’d like to explore the itinerary and enrollment page on your own, please visit our program page. Enrollment is already open if you’d like to get a head start—our trips often have a waitlist, and this year we were unfortunately not able to clear it. www.eftours.com/3014051ND

If you can’t make next week’s meeting, we will also host another information meeting in May. In the meantime, Ms. R. is happy to help answer any questions you may have.

We’re so excited to share more details next week!

From The Nurse’s Desk

There are currently 3 cases of measles in Colorado, all tied to unvaccinated youth at Broomfield High School.

Measles is a highly contagious, but preventable disease. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself, your family, and your community. Even one dose of the MMR vaccination gives you 93% immunity.

Symptoms usually develop from 7-21 days after exposure. Measles symptoms begin with fever, cough, runny nose, and red eyes, followed by a rash that usually starts several days later on the face and spreads. People are infectious from 4 days before the rash appears to 4 days after.

If you have not had the MMR vaccine, you can still get it within 72 hours of exposure to help prevent illness. In some exposure cases, immunoglobulin given within six days may also help prevent or lessen illness.

It is important to know your vaccination status. If you cannot show evidence of immunity, via written documentation of vaccination, laboratory testing, or birth before 1957, and there is any exposure at Swansea, you will be excluded from work for 21 days, along with any students who are not up to date with their vaccinations or have exemptions on file (currently only 4 students).

There is a full listing of possible exposure sites, and much more information, on the CDPHE website at https://cdphe.colorado.gov/dcphr/measles-information
