The Hill PTO is getting back together, and we’re excited to build a group that brings even more energy, community and school spirit to Hill!
We’re here, we’re getting organized, and now we want to hear from YOU. Whether you’re interested in helping with fundraising, school improvement projects, community events or simply have a great idea, there’s a place for you to get involved.
Wouldn’t it be great if every student had a Hill T-shirt? Could we finally give the “HILL SKYHAWKS” sign a refresh? What else could we do together to put a little extra sparkle on our already-great school?

7th Grade Families: Sponsor a Breakfast for Teachers & Staff!
We are hoping to show support to teachers and staff by having each grade provide a breakfast for the teachers on the first Friday of the month for 3 months of each semester. If you are able to help bring food on October 2, SIGN UP HERE!
Flag Football Registration Open
Registration is now open for Flag Football (boys and girls) and our newest sport, Floor Hockey. Families have until September 30, at 6:00 PM to register their students. Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences If you have any questions please contact Mr.Williams at david_williams2@dpsk12.net.
Haunted House Auditions!
Any students wanting to audition for our second annual haunted house can do so after school from 4:05 to 5:00 in room 132 on Wednesday, September 30th. We are looking for scare actors to rotate in for our half-day long Haunted House to be presented on Thursday, October 29th. This is an all-Hill half day. Participating students will be required to provide some kind of approved costume (we certainly can help with this - no need to spend money!) and will be excused for missed classes on the 29th. We do not plan to have any after school rehearsals. We are hoping to open the event to the public in the afternoon, so students should also be available for some time between 1 and 4pm (details coming!). This was a massively fun event for the students last year, and this year we plan to go bigger! Come out and be a part of it! Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Hill will host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration during lunch for all students on Wednesday, October 14th. During the celebration students will have the opportunity to play games, do activities, and listen to music celebrating and learning about different countries.
Our goal is to expose students to food samplings from different Hispanic countries. If you would like to sign up to supply food for the event (buy or make) you can do so using this link. Food donations should feed small size samples for 20-30 students.
Here is a list of local area restaurants that may be able to supply food for the event.

Students will take their 26-27 school photo on Oct. 5, 6, and 7. They will take their photo during their Science class on this schedule:
Oct 5 = Ms. Sottak’s & Ms. Cozzarin’s classes
Oct 6 = Ms. Kreske’s & Ms. Stepovich’s classes
Oct 7 = Dr. Heath’s classes

Your child can also bring their completed flyer (passed to them in Science class) with cash or check on Picture Day. Orders after Picture Day must be placed online on mylifetouch.com.

The families of 8th grade students received an email on Monday with all of the information about Hill Continuation. Students have also received the information in a long list of ways. The information and resources are also available on Hill's website.
