Hill Community Meeting – January 19 @ 5:30pm

Our next Hill Community Meeting will be on Tuesday, January 19 @ 5:30 pm. Principal Adams and other school leaders will be presenting Hill’s plans for ensuring a safe and rich learning experience for all students whether they opted for in-person or remote instruction. We will also spend time answering questions about other school logistics and arrival and dismissal

Cohort Assignments

Our long-awaited NEW cohorts are here!Note we are not using the cohorts that were assigned in semester 1. Only in-person students will be assigned a cohort and attend in-person 2 days a week and 3 days virtually.Below you will find the necessary information to help your student transition to in-person learning:

  • READ! Instructions on how to maneuver the cohort assignment sheet.
  • Calendar of what days cohorts will start and what day’s they’re assigned
  • Assigned cohorts for all grades

Virtual students will attend classes Monday – Friday virtually.
If you are unable to access your student’s cohort, call 720-423-9680 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.


Attendance Expectations for Remaining Remote

  • Students are expected to be in class on time and for the duration of the class; school starts at 7:50 AM 
  • If your student missed a class, they should reach out to their teacher to request missed work/recording of the class and attend office hours if they need support/instruction
  • If the internet/electricity goes out, students should email their teacher notifying them of the event

We have made minor adjustments to the School Supply List for in-person students, make sure your student is ready to return to school! 

Excusing your Child for Illness – In Person Families

If you have an in person student attending school in a cohort, please follow the following protocol to ensure the school is made aware promptly if your student is exhibiting any COVID-like symptoms. This will be imperative to accurate and timely contact tracing and notifying students and families that may need to quarantine. When calling to excuse your child from school for illness, if you leave a message or send an email, please include the following information: 

  • If your child is sick, are they exhibiting COVID-like symptoms? If so, which ones? 
  • When did the symptoms begin? 
  • When was the most recent date the student was in school in person? 

SafeAccess

All in-person students must complete the SafeAccess form before arriving to Hill, this is to ensure the safety of our students, staff and your family. You can find the SafeAccess link on the Hill website in the tabs! Students will need their student ID# to check in. 

 Schoolwide Grief/Loss seminars by Judi’s House staff – Single session during Block 1- 7:55 to 8:30am – weeks of 2/22/2021 and 3/1/2021. Final schedule and virtual links will be sent out to teachers in early February.  

Hill Parent Education Night on Grief/Loss  (TEACHERS are WELCOME to attend!) on Thursday, March 4th from 6pm-7:30pm. (local elementary school parents  will also be invited to join Zoom virtual session)

Assignaciones de cohortes 

¡Nuestras NUEVAS cohortes tan esperadas están aquí!Tenga en cuenta que no estamos utilizando las cohortes que se asignaron en el semestre 1. SafeAccess

Todos los estudiantes en persona deben completar el formulario SafeAccess antes de llegar a Hill, esto es para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, personal y su familia. Puede encontrar el enlace SafeAccess en las pestañas del sitio web de Hill. Los estudiantes necesitarán su número de identificación de estudiante para registrarse.


Expectativas de asistencia para permanecer remoto

  • Se espera que los estudiantes lleguen a clase a tiempo y mientras dure la clase; la escuela comienza a las 7:50 AM
  • Si su estudiante se perdió una clase, debe comunicarse con su maestro para solicitar el trabajo perdido/grabación de la clase y asistir al horario de oficina si necesita apoyo / instrucción.
  • Si se corta Internet / electricidad, los estudiantes deben enviar un correo electrónico a su maestro notificándoles del evento

Útiles escolares para estudiantes en persona

Hemos realizado pequeños ajustes en la lista de útiles escolares para los estudiantes en persona, ¡asegúrese de que su estudiante esté listo para regresar a la escuela!

Excuse a su hijo/a por que esta enfermo/a – familias en persons

Si tiene un estudiante en persona que asiste a la escuela en una cohorte, siga el siguiente protocolo para asegurarse de que la escuela esté al tanto de inmediato si su estudiante presenta algún síntoma similar al COVID. Esto será imperativo para rastrear contactos precisos y oportunos y notificar a los estudiantes y familias que puedan necesitar una cuarentena. Cuando llame para excusar a su hijo de la escuela por enfermedad, si deja un mensaje o envía un correo electrónico, incluya la siguiente información:

  • Si su hijo está enfermo, ¿presenta síntomas similares a los de COVID? ¿De ser asi, cuales?
  • ¿Cuándo empezaron los síntomas?
  • ¿Cuándo fue la fecha más reciente en que el estudiante estuvo en la escuela en persona?

Duelo / pérdida en toda la escuela

Seminarios a cargo del personal de Judi’s House – Sesión única durante el Bloque 1-7:55 a 8:30 am – semanas del 22/2/2021 y 1/3/2021. El horario final y los enlaces virtuales se enviarán a los maestros a principios de febrero.

Noche de Educación para Padres de Hill sobre Duelo/Pérdida (¡LOS MAESTROS son BIENVENIDOS a asistir!) El jueves 4 de marzo de 6pm a 7:30 pm. (Los padres de la escuela primaria local también serán invitados a unirse a la sesión virtual de Zoom)
