Family Night is Parent Teacher Conference night with a few, fun extras! Families will be able to meet with their student’s teachers and receive a one page sheet with their students “Grows and Glows”. Families who want a more in-depth conversation about their student are encouraged to email their teacher with questions at any time during the year. RSVP HERE.
Chilly weather means warm coats. Support our Hill students with any gently used jacket, sweatshirt, and other cold weather gear that your family has outgrown. Donations will be washed and organized to give to kids who don’t have their own warm gear. The Coat Drive will run from October 1-October 31. Drop donations off at school in room 135 or at 140 Krameria St. Thanks for helping us keep our students warm!
Pack the house legacy squad challenge for the girls softball game is Monday October 4th. The softball game starts at 4pm. Win points for your squad for your attendance!
Late Fall sports are now available to sign up. These sports include Volleyball and Flag Football. Student sign up links are live on the website! Students will need to complete a Sports Physical in order to compete. Sign up links will close Sunday, October 3rd @12:00pm. We will not accept any sign-ups after the deadline. Reach out to Mr. Turner or Director Lewis for any questions. We plan to have tryouts for Volleyball and Flag Football on Monday October 4th and Tuesday October 5th. Volleyball tryouts will be 3:15pm-5pm. Flag Football tryouts will be 3:20pm-4:45pm.
The next CSC meeting is Tuesday, Oct 5 @ 5:30pm. You can join in person at Hill Campus (room 202) or virtually with THIS ZOOM LINK.
As you may have heard on several local and national news broadcasts, there is a TikTok challenge circulating that encourages the vandalism of student restrooms. This type of vandalism is destructive and unacceptable for HCAS students. If a student is caught vandalising school property the local authorities will be called and the student/parent fined for the damage. Please talk to your student about this TikTok challenge and remind them to always report unsafe or destructive behavior.
Our next half-day Wednesday is Oct. 6, 2021. Students are dismissed at 12pm. Kindly note there are no after school clubs, athletic games or practices, or assemblies after school on early dismissal days. All students are off campus by 12:15pm.
Please try to arrange a pick-up spot with your child that is not in the bus lane (on Clermont St) or in the school’s back parking lot (off 4th Ave). These are busy areas and to avoid traffic congestion, we suggest meeting your student on quiet, nearby streets like Birch, Ash, and Cherry, or Dahlia.
