Thank you to our families and staff for making Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences a Whole Child Distinguished School!
Every year, DPS honors the teachers and schools who apply for this award. The goal of the Distinguished Schools Award is to ensure schools across the district are excelling in providing equitable and inclusive environments where students are healthy, supported, engaged, challenged, safe, and socially and emotionally intelligent. Schools were selected by the ProComp Implementation Team, which includes members from the DCTA and DPS. The schools represent a variety of student populations and have demonstrated a commitment to the Focus Areas of the Whole Child.
The last day of Quarter 4 was May 27, 2022. Standards based grades will be available to 6th and 7th Grade families in Parent Portal on Friday, June 3, 2022. Report cards will not be sent home.

RISING 8th GRADERS – VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!
Help your student get a jump on their volunteer requirement for continuation by signing them up to volunteer at one of three movie nights at 9th & Colorado! The dates are: 6/26, 7/23 and 9/17. Volunteer from 630-9. Help 9th & Co check in attendees, sell snacks, provide directional help & trash patrol. Around 3 student volunteers wanted and one parent to provide oversight per date. MOVIE NIGHTS @ 9th & Co
Fun partnership with 9th & Colorado and their Summer Movie Nights! Hill student volunteers (see above) will be selling snacks at the FREE movie nights at 9th & Co. Proceeds benefit Hill PTSA. Movie Nights take place on the lawn behind Blanco & Culinary Dropout. Put these dates in your calendar for a fun family outdoor movie night! Your student can volunteer (sign up above) then the whole family can join for the movie (rsvp to the right). You can RSVP to attend movie nights here.

¡Gracias a nuestras familias y personal por hacer de Hill Campus of Arts & Sciences una Escuela Distinguida para el Niño Completo!
Cada año, DPS honra a los maestros y las escuelas que solicitan este premio. El objetivo del Premio a Escuelas Distinguidas es garantizar que las escuelas de todo el distrito se destaquen al brindar entornos equitativos e inclusivos donde los estudiantes estén saludables, apoyados, comprometidos, desafiados, seguros y social y emocionalmente inteligentes. Las escuelas fueron seleccionadas por el Equipo de Implementación de ProComp, que incluye miembros de DCTA y DPS. ESTUDIANTES EN CURSO DE 8° GRADO – ¡OPORTUNIDAD DE VOLUNTARIADO!
¡Ayude a su estudiante a aumentar su requisito de voluntariado para continuar inscribiéndolo como voluntario en una de las tres noches de cine en 9th & Colorado! Las fechas son: 26/6, 23/7 y 17/9. Voluntario de 630-9. Ayude a 9th & Co a registrar a los asistentes, venda refrigerios, brinde ayuda direccional y patrulle la basura. Se buscan alrededor de 3 estudiantes voluntarios y un padre para supervisar por fecha. ¡Registrate aquí! ¡Las ganancias de las ventas de refrigerios van a Hill PTSA! ¡Divertida asociación con 9th & Colorado y sus Summer Movie Nights! Los estudiantes voluntarios de Hill (ver arriba) venderán refrigerios en las noches de cine GRATIS en 9th & Co. Las ganancias beneficiarán a Hill PTSA. Las noches de cine tienen lugar en el césped detrás de Blanco & Culinary Dropout. ¡Anote estas fechas en su calendario para una divertida noche familiar de cine al aire libre!
