Here at Hill, we take every other Wednesday as a half day in order for our teachers and staff to plan collectively, prepare efficiently for upcoming events, participate in professional learning and align our school community to our goals for our students. All students are expected to be off campus at noon as there is no supervision outside of the building. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students have an excellent environment to learn and grow!
We are excited to offer 17 club options that cover athletics, arts, STEM, leadership, music, and more. Clubs will take place Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:15pm-4:00pm, and unless otherwise noted, clubs will start the week of September 12. After School Social Club sign-ups are here, and have also been posted to Schoology.
DPS provided transportation (aka: School Buses) will NOT be available to support clubs, so students will need to have a way home.
The CSC is an important part of Hill’s governance, and is comprised of parents, teachers, administration, and community members. We’d like for the committee to be representative of our school population, and are looking for engaged parents who would be committed to helping Hill make decisions that are in the best interest of all students. This is an unpaid, elected position and requires that members attend a monthly meeting in the evening.

We would be thrilled to have parents and guardians of Hill students join us during the school day to volunteer within the school. Opportunities can be catered to a person’s preference or expertise, such as helping in the library, a classroom, the main office, or recess. A background check is required for all volunteers at school, but the process is easy! Please find the directions HERE.
The DPS Prevention Services Team is kicking off their 2022-23 Lunchtime Learning Webinar Series at noon on Wednesday, September 7. The webinar will feature Dr. Jenna Glover from Children’s Hospital Colorado, who will join the team to discuss children’s mental health and strategies to emotionally support kids as they transition to the school year. Participants will learn the fundamental tools and ideas they can use to help support your child’s mental health and well being. Register for the webinar here.

Estaríamos encantados de que los padres y tutores de los estudiantes de Hill se unan a nosotros durante el día escolar para ser voluntarios dentro de la escuela. Las oportunidades pueden ser atendidas según la preferencia o la experiencia de una persona, como ayudar en la biblioteca, un salón de clases, la oficina principal o el recreo. El Equipo de Servicios de Prevención de DPS dará inicio a su serie de seminarios web de aprendizaje a la hora del almuerzo 2022-23 al mediodía del miércoles 7 de septiembre. El seminario web contará con la Dra. Jenna Glover del Children’s Hospital Colorado, quien se unirá al equipo para analizar la salud mental de los niños y las apoyar emocionalmente a los niños en su transición al año escolar.
