This year Hill’s Student Support Team developed a positive behavior incentive system where students earn Hawk Bucks for being on task and eager to learn. Each Friday during lunchtime students can use their Hawk Bucks to ‘buy’ snacks and small toys. We have found that the students love this and are excited to keep earning Hawk Bucks. We are asking for help supplying the Hawk Bucks store. If you are able to donate snacks (small bags of chips, fruit roll-ups, suckers, etc) or small toys (fidgets, handheld analog games, keychains, etc) please drop them to the main office. We are hoping to supply the Hawk Bucks store from community donations for Quarter 2 so any amount of a donation is greatly appreciated!
Conflict is a part of life, and that’s especially true for young leaders. In partnership with The Conflict Center, Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences is offering a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable leadership and conflict navigation skills. Student leaders will learn how to support their peers in managing anger and conflict effectively as well as developing skills to lead restorative circles, allowing them to take an active leadership role in our school community
These workshops will occur once per month. During this workshop they will engage in learning, leadership and reflection while also connecting with other student leaders at Hill. If you would like to nominate your student for this experience, please complete the following link. If selected for this unique opportunity, families will be notified by the principal of selection and dates.
